Hello everyone!

Earlier today I was controlling at Santos Dumont airport outside of Rio De Janeiro for about 2 hours. During that session I got solid amounts of consistent traffic, so I decided to make a spotting video of all the departure from my two hours of controlling.

Since almost all flights are to Sao Paulo, I have a challenge for everyone to try and find how many flights were not to Sao Paulo

This is so cool! definitely dropping a follow. I’ll be on the lookout for the next time you’re controlling and i’ll stop by- maybe with an arrival to make it more interesting 😄

This is true, I remember doing a spotting topic here and 4/5 flights I “spotted” were going to Sao Paulo with 1 going to Campinas/Viracopos which sometimes even serves an an alternative for an airport in Sao Paulo. Azul mainly uses it for their long hauls to and from the Sao Paulo area.

Beautiful shots! Was great working with you on Rio Approach, I managed about 5 hours I think, but still recognize a lot of these IFC community members even from this short segment here… Was a lot of fun dealing with all the short hauls between Rio and Sao Paulo!
