Hi again, sorry for posting so much but i one more question. What exactly do a sanctioned v a mean. Does this mean that the virtual airline is already created but the ifvarb has put limitations on their operation, they can be created or cant be created at all. ive checked the ifvarb website but cant find a direct meaning for this.

It means that the particular airline’s name cannot be used by an IF based Virtual Airline that replicates their operations.
This is usually due to various copyright claims
Therefore prospective VA’s have to use slightly different names
For example:
Emirates - Dubai Virtual Group
Jetblue - Virtual Blue
LATAM - Latour Virtual
Lufthansa - Lufty Virtual
If you want to create a VA based on an airline on the banned list (and it doesn’t already exist) then you’ll have to be creative with the name
These names that you called i see on a page on the IFVARB website as BANNED but the VA im looking to create is just marked as sanctioned but not banned so im a little confused.
There’s only one name that’s sanctioned and that’s Boeing.
But it’s also just Boeing Virtual Group.
If you’re intending to create a Boeing based VA with a different name then IFVARB admins might allow it.
Ultimately though, only the IFVARB admin can approve a VA.
@Knox like I said in a previous topic of yours inquiring about making a VA, I would suggest joining and spending time with a VA before making one yourself, as well as spending more time on the forum to get to know how things go, and what the community is like, as well as gauging interest. If you try to skip ahead to just creating a VA, it’s unlikely that you’ll be successful, either with the IFVARB or with the community. I’m not saying you can’t go ahead and make one, but this sort of thing takes both experience and public interest, and you’re going to be in a far better position if you take the necessary time.
i see, since we last spoke i did join a couple. But i believe that while im learning from the forum and from being within other va’s. i can start working on the project and when i feel like im ready i proceed to the ifvarb just how my mind works i like to carefully craft as i learn each day. thanks for you suggestion @Petre2026
Dang, you must have joined fast! I didn’t even realize VAs accepted so quickly. Which ones do you join? If you’re at all interested in military aviation, I have to suggest GAF, if you haven’t already considered it
caribbean airlines virtual got in last night. The got to me in just a couple hours of applying. I also applied to qatari and india. looking for some other interesting ones. i took your advice and went straight to searching.
Where does one find a VA to join?
In the Live > VA category! You will find many interesting VAs there according to your liking!
Can also check on the IFVARB website. i guess all the VA’s there are approved.
