If you like departures, try Liberty Station Esplanade right by the water. Hard to see down the runway but they takeoff directly over you.

Great pictures. I’m in San Diego and have always wanted to do planespotting, but since I’m new here, I don’t know much about the good locations. I’ve only seen a nice view of the airport while I’m in the trolley after Middletown station. Can you suggest some good locations? And, btw, from where were you able to get such a nice view?

The place I went to is called Laurel Travel Center, the parking costs 18 dollars but you can stay as long as you want
