Hello. My name is Kim, and I am currently applying for IFATC.
Although I failed my first written exam with a score of 64% and am currently in a 2-week waiting period, my second exam is scheduled for July 10th. To practice and prepare, I am creating this tracking thread.
I welcome all feedback on pushback, taxi, takeoff, pattern work, inbound, separation, and landing. I would also like to practice handling high workloads and stress training.
The server will be the Training Server (TS), and my main airport will be RKSS. I will post the opening times and active runways separately.

I’ll try attend one of your practice sessions. I’ll also recommend you consider joining the ATC mentorship hub (if you haven’t already). There able to help through the recruitment process with practice tests and mentorship sessions. I personally didn’t go through them but I’ve seen other controllers go through them and they’ve been some of my favorite controller friends.

Just a few things to mention:
Clearances should be given no later than mid downwind. Ideally, for an aircraft taking off and remaining in the pattern, clearance should be given in the upwind leg.
A Frequency Change Approved is needed for aircraft departing.
I assumed that an aircraft remaining in the pattern was performing a training flight. In your first run, you requested a Touch-and-Go, but from the second run onward, I wasn’t entirely sure of your intentions, which caused the delay in issuing the clearance. As you suggested, I will make sure to issue clearances before midfield in the future.
I will also do some more studying regarding frequency changes after departure.

So “remaining in the pattern” means the pilot intends to remain in the airports pattern and intends to do touch and goes. For an aircraft taking off and RITP, all that is needed to establish them in the pattern is TO clearence with a traffic direction(make left/right traffic). After sequencing them(if needed), for landing clearance its “cleared for the option.” The option includes landing, touch and gos’s, stop and goes, and low approach. This is agreat graphic showing what a pattern is and the different legs of the pattern.
