Ryanair’s Specially Painted Next-Generation 737-800

From Ryanair

Ryanair is Europe’s Number 1 airline, carrying over 142m customers p.a. on more than 2,000 daily flights from 84 bases, connecting 226 destinations in 37 countries on a fleet of over 455 Boeing 737 aircraft, with a further 210 Boeing 737’s on order, which will enable Ryanair to lower fares and grow traffic to 200m customers p.a. by FY24. Ryanair has a team of more than 14,500 highly skilled aviation professionals delivering Europe’s No.1 on-time performance, and an industry leading 34-year safety record.

In 2017, Ryanair became the first European airline to have carried over 1 billion customers.

The airplane features the distinctive blue Boeing colors on the fuselage of the airplane, while Ryanair’s name is featured toward the rear of the aircraft. On the tail is the recognizable golden harp logo found on every Ryanair 737-800. The airplane is one of nearly 300 737-800s currently in Ryanair’s all-Boeing fleet.

“The 737-800 has been the foundation of our recent successful growth thanks to its great engineering and phenomenal reliability,” said Ryanair Chief Executive Michael O’Leary.

In June 2013, the Irish airline ordered an additional 175 of the world’s best-selling single-aisle airplane. O’Leary said the newly ordered airplanes will expand Ryanair’s fleet to more than 400 737-800s and create more than 3,000 new jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers.

“Ryanair has been a loyal Boeing 737 customer for nearly 20 years, so this blended livery is a great way to honor that longstanding partnership,” said Todd Nelp, vice president of European Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Over the next five years, Ryanair expects to serve more than 110 million passengers across Europe. “That will enable us to lower our costs and cut air fares even further,” said O’Leary.

Ryanair describes itself as Europe’s favorite low fares airline, operating more than 1,600 daily flights connecting 186 destinations in 30 countries.

I know there is already a topic on this same aircraft and livery but is not very detailed and is quite old.

Well…I have mixed opinions about this livery - i guess i kinda like it - a bit odd though.

The idea came to my head when I was looking though Ryanair photos on google for a photoshop.

I believe this livery is the same that was requested here;

This one does have some more information, but it’s up to the mods.

That’s the one I was talking about.

To be honest, I actually really like this livery! Hope it gets added, as it’s a fairly simple livery.

They just need to really shrink the 787 Boeing livery and make a few edits.

Bump!

This is a nice livery I must say but don’t have a vote for now.

The sound this plane makes on landing.

If I am being honest, I may have forgotten I made this request…

Anyhow, great to see some new supporters of this livery!

I think this would make a great addition to infinite flight.

It would be great to have a Boeing livery especially a airline that operates all over Europe would be a pretty cool addition to the sim 😄

With the announced changes to the feature request category, this feature no longer meets the following criteria:

  • Feature requests may not be created for temporary or special liveries (such as for events or raising awareness). Avoiding these often complex designs (e.g. AeroMexico “Quetzalcóatl” on the B787-9) will ensure that our primary focus is on representing as many airlines as possible in-app

Due to this, this feature request has been closed and all votes returned to their users so that they can be used to vote on other features they would like to see in-app. For more information on what is permitted, please visit the About the Features Category.
