In another thread it was posted that you cannot land on the runway before the previous landing aircraft has vacated.

IRL there is a regulation (in most places) called ‘land after’. Which means you can clear am aircraft to land and they can land before the previous one has vacated. This can be used to maximise runway usage and minimise spacing on approach. It can only be used if the runway is more than 2000 meters long and if the landing aircraft is visual with the just landed one.

This isn’t necessarily a feature request but is something that could, and should, be used by IFATC when controlling. Not only is it more expedient and efficient it will make everyone’s IF life easier.

For example, you won’t have to wait and monitor landed aircraft whilst they vacate before you can give landing clearances which you will be able to do sooner and this gives you more time to look at the big picture.

While the mission for realism is good, it has limits.

In IF, different aircraft and pilots take different times to exit the runway. A CRJ might cruise off at a rapid exit taxiway, and an A380 might take its time to crawl to the next exit at 15 knots. The pilot variability doesn’t really make this practical.

Well there you go. That’s the same in reality and it’s the whole point of the land after system.

You make the judgement of when it can be used.
