The actual runway of an airplane is a very long one, maybe three or four kelometers,(depending as size aircraft and airport)and its final blade is the takeoff. But when an airport plane leaves from an airport in Infinite Flight, it takes off or lands when one quarter of its path is complete. This should be developed as a seamless process. The remaining part of an overgrown path is seen as a relic and needs to be repaired.
I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking for here - based on my interpretation, you think that Infinite Flight’s aircraft don’t take up a realistic amount of the runway for takeoff, correct?
Of course Mr mort..you can check that
If you team infinite flight expecting me, I welcome..I can give best ideas to develop ..add me a staff a volunteer..
There is evidence that most aircraft in Infinite Flight don’t use as much runway as their IRL counterparts - see this topic below:
It’s not really a huge deal though - this is an “issue” in other sims as well.
Im gonna give my complete, unfiltered opinion here; this is a simulator, it’s not gonna be 100% accurate. And to be fair though, not enough people really see this as an issue.
I understand you want a realistic flight experience (we all do), however, we need to have patience, as the dev team can only do so much with the amount of people they have.
I will also say this about landings in particular, and perhaps also to takeoffs as well: most people use the auto brake feature as well as full flaps, full spoilers, full revers thrust, and parking brakes to stop their plane when landing. Whereas in reality, most planes use reverse thrust at a lower level then max capacity, brakes aren’t typically used till the end so as to not wear them out as fast nor build up wear and tear on the gear, and flaps are often not used at full extension unless in extreme cases. Furthermore, a lot of planes tend to roll further than needed so as to negate heaving stopping for the comfort of the passengers. This isn’t the case all the time, but since we have no repercussions of using all available means at full force to stop our planes in IF, it becomes a challenge rather than a default to make realistic landings. Similar things can be applied to takeoffs as well, since most pilots that I’ve seen use more flaps than normally used IRL, as well as full or almost full thrust. Couple that with premature rotations and abnormal weight levels and things really just aren’t gonna fit with the way we see them in real life. Hope this helps!
