Runway lights turn ON during daytime low visibility.

Runway lights are on during all “times” but daytime for good reason. Would it be possible to have them come on if the visibility drops below a certain point on daytime . Would make it more realistic, easier to land and overall a better low visibility experience. I don’t know how hard it would be to code but under certain visibility have the lights come on. I searched but didn’t see this as being posted already.

I support this! It’s so difficult tying to land with low visibility and I can’t see the dam runway

Recently I started changing the time to dawn to land in low visibility just for the runway lights. It’s such a better experience. And really cool to see the lights break through the fog/clouds.

Great idea, was thinking of it myself. Often hard to see the runway.

Good idea! But instead of a set low visibility, have them pilot activated just like in the real world.

I was thinking for smaller airports (maybe class Charlie and below) could be mic activated (announcing position since we can’t key our mic and the larger ones always on under a certain Visibility. Idk if that would be even harder to code. Figured always on could be done more easily. I like that idea though.

Very true. And that’s what I use now. But if we are going for realism the lights would def give that an added factor and improve the overall experience.

This would be very useful, and can’t be that hard to code, along with a runway lighting rework would be amazing
