Hey all recently I did two flights on the A330 and A330NEO both flights were about 8.5 hours long I’ve added 11hrs worth of fuel and my load was fairly low at 60% for each flight and mid flight I ran out of fuel. I also step climbed and still ran out of fuel it’s like these planes are just drinking fuel. I also noticed with the A35K it’s the same thing is this a glitch or something can someone from the development team give some feedback on this.

It’s not really a glitch per se, the fuel time estimate in the weight and balance menu is pretty inaccurate across the fleet, but especially on the A330 and A350 families. It’s honestly best to ignore it.
For more accurate fuel loads, use a flight planner like Simbrief, which we have direct integration with.

Yeah I am using sim brief and what they are giving and it’s still the same.

Weird. I haven’t had any fuel issues with Simbrief with the A330/A350.
You using AP+? Since fuel burn has been wildly inconsistent with that system since it released. I don’t use it because of that and other things.

I wish the average fuel burn of an aircraft came back as info in the refueling menu…

What speeds are you cruising at? That can have a considerable impact on fuel usage.

For my A330s I normally cruise at M.82 keep in mind my fuel flow is between 8K-10K lbs

M0.82 should be alright.
I can’t think of much else off the top of my head that could cause the increased fuel burn. Next time this happens could you also share the Simbrief PDF document, which would give all the details.
Yes, I have noticed this issue. Especially when using the A35K. I planned my flight from RJTT-JFK using SimBrief. Planned it with nearly two hours of extra fuel and I still ran out of fuel before reaching my destination. I had to divert to ORD
I’ve also been having fuel issues with the A35K using AP+. For a Sydney to London flight, it needed 30,000 extra kg of fuel than what Simbrief suggested (should’ve just been 20k extra for the ULR variant). It’s definitely burning way too much as I wasn’t even able to fly 18h despite departing at MTOW.
AP+ fuel burn has been “scuffed” since it released. I’ve seen a few people doing that route report running out of fuel when using AP+, despite it being easily able to do the route on full load if the flight is flown “live”.
Honestly, I haven’t had any issues with AP+ fuel until the A35K. Previously, it would occasionally use too little fuel so I’d have to dump some, but it’s burning way too much fuel with the A35K.
I’m trying the same route again with some more fuel so I guess I’ll find out…
8-10 isn’t even increased, I just checked my sheet and that’s just normal burn.

That just makes it even stranger…
The only obvious reason is not loading enough fuel - but if they imported from Simbrief that shouldn’t have been an issue…
Importing from simbrief is an issue with the longer A35K routes (i.e., Project Sunrise) because the Simbrief profile is not the ULR. Simbrief shows a -20,000kg fuel deficit which makes perfect sense considering the ULR has an extra 20,000kg fuel tank. So by adding an extra 20,000kg of fuel in the sim, the aircraft should be able to fly Sydney to London. I did exactly this and was still 2-3h short of fuel, so it’s definitely an AP+ issue.

I’ve done multiple Qantas Sunrise legs with no issues (although I don’t use AP+).
