1100Z flying display start
@EGDY (RNAS Yeovilton)
What is the Royal Navy International Air Day?
The Royal Navy International Air Day will take place at the Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton in Somerset on Saturday 13 July 2019.
RNAS Yeovilton, the spiritual home of the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm, will open their gates to up to 40,000 visitors to enjoy the magnificent five hour flying display, meet the Armed Forces personnel and see their equipment up close.
This event will be held the day after the real event so that it doesn’t clash with the real show.
The spectator area/ static display location is highlighted below with the box as shown:
RWY22, which runs through the static area will not be in use and will be used to park larger aircraft attending.
Due to the lack of spawn gates, I’m asking that once you have spawned in, please taxi and park to spectate. All spectators are requested to spawn in on either of the Northern Apron gates and then taxi to a safe spot within the box shown, larger aircraft can park sensibly on RWY22.
Flying participants are requested to spawn in on the southern apron gate and taxi to somewhere within the box shown below:
The reason I am separating the Flying Participants from the spectators is so that the flying acts have easy access to the runway.
