Royal Jordanian is the flag carrier of Jordan, and has a fleet of Airbus A320s, A321s, A320neos, Boeing 787-8s, Embraer E-Jets and E2s, with Airbus A321neos and Boeing 787-9s on order. The vast majority of the airline’s 787s were delivered in 2014. The airline also kept a livery from the 1980s virtually unchanged until 2014, when they took delivery of their second 787. The change, however, was minor, and, when the airline took on next-generation narrowbodies, such as the Embraer E2 and the A320neo, a completely new livery was unveiled. The first 787-8 to be repainted, JY-BAG, entered service with the new livery in late 2025.
I am personally a huge fan of Royal Jordanian’s liveries, both the 1980s design, which stood the test of time, and the current modern design, slowly being rolled out across the fleet - there’s just something about a mostly black airplane that makes it look so much classier. Pair it with an elegant combination of gold and red, and you get a stunning design.
