I had the idea that in Global are route suggestions.
How will it works?
Also you click your departure airport and then you click your destination airport and then you get a route.
With it you could save some valuable time. Then you don’t have to find waypoints, because the system makes the route.
Can’t foreflight Do that?

Yes, but in ForeFlight you need to select a departure and arrival if applicable.

Have you seen how expensive ForeFlight is?? Not everyone’s going to go and spend €100, just to get some routes.

This isn’t a “global route suggestion” rather a way to by-pass having to do all of the legwork in filing a flight plan. I don’t support this feature as little thought and foresight was put into your efforts. This same subject has been beat to death in many forum conversations. Requests for the ability to save flight plans were closed in the past.

I already created a thread for something very similar to this; however, it is not an idea implemented into the app like you have requested. This is free and wouldn’t require anything from the devs.

Ahh. See you weren’t specific enough for your audience to understand what you were trying to convey. Keep that in mind for your future posts. Others need to be able to read and understand what you’re trying to say too… 😉

I would like to be able to save/store a flight plan for future use, or even have a shared library for all to use.
With waypoints included :)

That would be cool. So you’re suggesting something similar to the way “Maps” operates on the IPhone. You put in the starting point and ending point and the system will come up with 2 or 3 routes. That would be a time saver. If they do add this, you should still be able to manually choose your route if you don’t want to use the system’s routes.

Aerofly FS1 does this… I guess… it would be a nice and interesting addition to the game!

Just learn how to plan IFR routes with a YouTube video or steal the routes from airlines by using sites like FlightAware. It would also be difficult to implement this because of temporary restrictions like weather, TFRs, and NOTAMs.

His suggestion isn’t disabling you to create your own, it’s just going to suggest routes😀

You haven’t even voted for your own feature, something fishy is going on here.
I think this is a solid idea. This feature has been available in Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) since MSFS2004, I believe. When filing a flight plan, you could choose high or low airways and it would automatically plot a course for you.
For those that believe this takes too much first-person input away from the IF experience, this is a real-world feature utilized for almost every commercial flight or flight flown with a FMC equipped aircraft.

This would be amazing, saves about a minute of time or if your on a new route then you don’t have to actually look for different waypoints and find out a horrible flight plan, if I had votes, would totally vote for this 😃😃

The auto-route feature in MSFS is completely inaccurate, and only relied on airways and VORs. The plans generated by that system were not realistic at all.
