Where do all the routes come from? Are they from a certain external database, or from player’s contribution?

That is up for staff to decide, but I’m assuming it’ll come from an external source (ADS-B?)

Maybe most of the routes would be from an external source and the retro ones would be manually added if they did not come with the external source

If they’re contributed by player, how can we ensure the validity of the routes? This is especially hard to check for retro liveries.

Wouldn’t be like the missing callsign database?
