Round the World in the Cirrus

There’s been so many threads and people saying they are flying around the world, but it’s only one post and we never hear updates! So in this thread I will comment when another day has started, and where I plan on ending up.

______________________ Where are you flying to? What’s the route? ________________________

One of the many great things I enjoy in Infinite Flight is the freedom to be able to fly wherever you want. While it may not be a smart idea, I don’t have an exact route in mind. What’s the fun if it’s all planned out? no freedom or anything in that! I do want you to keep in mind this is a circumnavigation, and not a world tour. I may not hit exact antipodal points, but I’ll try to find a point that are on opposite ends of the world. The 2 continents I don’t plan on flying to is Africa and South America.

_____________________ Do you have a life? Why do I want to do this? _______________________

Back in about 2020, I flew the Cirrus from Denmark all the way to Santa Monica in one single flight (By single flight I mean not logging out of Infinite Flight). It was a really fun flight. Taught me a lot about the Cirrus (And how it desperately needs a rework!!!) and how to plan long distance flights in small planes. Then a couple months later I flew from Toulouse to San Diego. Alright, lets backtrack all the way to 2019 (I believe). Me and @Airnico_9962_on_YT , who sadly isn’t active anymore, wanted to Circumnavigate the world in one single flight without landing. After about a week of planning, I hopped in my KC10 in Nellis and just started flying East. Nico refueled me a couple times, and over China for whatever reason I logged off. That brings us here today. Officially marking the first day of me finally circumnavigating the Globe in this beautiful Cirrus SR22. I am planning on it taking around half a month to a month. Oh, and to answer your question If I have a life, Nope, not really.

Discord does do something i see. Produce the only reply of “I commented” lmao

Departing KCYS this morning heading to KSTP, then on to CYMO, and then a long flight to CYXP before I plan on crossing the ocean to get to BGSF in Greenland where I hope to spend the night. Will update all stats after each landing.

Forgot about that mate haha.

Successful Day! I changed the flight plan up. After CYMO i flew to CYVP. Then off to BGBW. I totaled around 10-11 hours today. I got a screenshot from liveflight for first 2 flights, sadly forgot to do it for the last 2. I want to end up in France or Germany tomorrow but who knows. I will say tomorrow morning.

Would you fly down under?

We will see. Like i say in the thread, I have no plan. Although the biggest thing is
A: Can the cirrus fly Hawaii to California (I think so)
B: How long does that take lmao

I’m trying to avoid Russian and Chinese airspace so going north would be another long distance flight.

Although I am always open to bribes sooo…

Why does this seem so interesting?

Island hopping from California to Guam ( tiny tiny islands along the way), then down through Papua New Guinea and welcome to Australia

If only the Cirrus had unlimited range… if only.

Land in Cairns, head down the east coast, then head across the "ditch’

More stops will be needed on that map i edited due to the Cirrus fuel amounts, but thats something i would do

Very possible. However I did mention this wasn’t a world tour… (really nothing to do with the flight plan) and looking back Australia is a bit down south. If i were to visit Ausi I’d try to find a unique way to fly south to south America. Always open to bribes once again :)
