I was bored and looking up some low-cost carrier fleets when I had some trouble locating records of Fly540’s Caravan(s). I looked up the tail registration from our app when I found that the Fly540 Caravan did, in fact, exist…or at least existed. From the records I found, our in-app Fly540 Caravan, registered 5H-YEP, was transfered to their subsidiary brand, Fly-SAX, new registration 5Y-CAC. (source).
Just a mere 10 weeks ago on June 5, 2018, the aircraft crashed into a mountainside in Kenya on a flight from Kitale (HKKT) to Nairobi (HKJK) killing all 10 on board. Report summary is here. Kenyan news outlet report is here.
