Hey everyone! Just wanted to share this insane cruise view from my flight from Kuala Lumpur (WMKK) to Sydney (YSSY).
Currently cruising at FL370 and holding a massive 158 knots tailwind from 276°. This absolute unit of a wind pushed my Ground Speed up to 645 knots! (TAS is at 493 kts).
Definitely one for the books. The fuel burn is high at 11,573 kg/hr, but with this push, I might just make it before the tanks dry up!
What’s the highest tailwind you guys have ever caught during a long-haul?

I once had 610 kts gs in a 737 down to Lanzarote and as low as 350 kts gs on the way back there was almost a hour and a half difference in flight time absolute madness
