Top Stories: REX flight forced into emergency landing after losing propeller
It was from Albury, it lost the propeller at 6000 ft while on approach to Sydney. The plane made a emergency landing on 16R. There were no injuries.
It was a SAAB 340B

I believe it was flying from albury to Sydney, the prop becoming dislodged somewhere over Camden.

I don’t see any major accidents or anything too bad on their accidents list
A while ago they had engine mid flight shutdown

That must have been scary! Rex is asking for the propellor to be returned to them.

Very scary and bizarre event. There was a good 90% chance that the R/H propeller would impact part of the airframe either Fuselage, Empanage (especially RH horizontal stab) nacelle and of course the wing. The fact that it didn’t is amazing and un heard of. All 19 soles are very lucky to be alive.

So the propeller just came off and fell on a house or something?
They landed safety at YSSY runway 16R. The Saab340 can fly perfectly fine on one engine.

No, not the plane, did the propeller just like fall off onto a house?
Wasn’t a house. They haven’t located it yet. If someone of something was damaged on the ground they would of found it.
