Bienvenue à l’Aéroport de la Réunion Roland Garros! Welcome to the Roland Garros Airport! Home of Air Austral and the three longest domestic flights in the world, from here to both Paris airports and Marseille! Yes, I know Air Tahiti Nui did a flight from Papeete to Paris but that doesn’t count because it isn’t flown now and only had like 100 people per flight.
Anyways, I’ve really been taking a liking to these small French islands and the many leisure carriers that fly to there, (RIP XL Airways, Samaná will miss you) so it makes sense for me to do another French island flyout. If you are wondering what was the first one, I have a flyout from Papeete listed here. That one could use some more signups, and some ATC.
I also wanted to put some more effort into making these, not just slapping an image and the intro paragraph from the Wikipedia article, hence the banners and this admittedly long exposition. Back to the aviation stuff now.
