I’ve not seen any request for this, but simply put I know we have all had moments where we have requested taxi to a gate and received clearance from ATC only for someone to spawn in said gate as you are about to turn in.
I am simply suggesting a feature by once someone receives clearance from ground to taxi to a specific gate it shows as occupied for anyone trying to spawn.
Yes but for now Just park at another gate, and if they spawn as your pulling in just log off. I seen many times arriving flights create headaches for ATC who refuse to log off when theres blocking to or at taxing to gates. It doesnt affect your XP
I like this idea. Would be a cool tool to implement on the expert server. I actually tried something like this through an event and it can work. It just requires people to plan better for their arrival
We definitely need this and I like your idea. As an IFATC, I have to say that after giving people taxi permission to the gate, someone suddenly appears at that gate and sometimes this turns into a confusion and often an annoying situation. This should definitely be done.
Not a bad idea, but I honestly don’t see the need when you can just park at the gate next to it if someone spawns 
That works until you’re facing a wall in a completely full ramp area or at an airport with limited gates
I think I have seen requests for this before but this one has the best proposed implementation iirc. Unfortunately I am out of votes.
I get that 100% maybe it could be implemented onto certain gates or the ‘reservation’ could last a max of 10 minutes.
But they could spawn at the gate next to it?
Love this idea as someone who wants to be realistic as possible, It’s one of the reasons i avoid flying into hub airports. This would be great to see implemented into IF to where you guaranteed to the correct gate for your flight.
