Required XP to fly certain planes in live

So this idea might be a little unrealistic, but, here it is.

As you probably have noticed, when you select a plane in live it will say “required XP: 0” for every single plane, this renders the text useless as there is no required XP at all. I was thinking this could be used to make sure pilots are at a certain skill level before flying larger jets. Here is my proposal list of which aircrafts you can fly based on XP. (this would not apply to free flight server)

Cessna 208: 0
Cessna 172: 0
Super Decathlon: 0
Cirrus SR22 GTS: 0
Spitfire: 250
P38: 250
717-200: 1600
ERJ-170: 1800
ERJ-175: 1800
ERJ-190: 4000
ERJ-195: 4000
737-700: 4000
A321: 5000
CRJ-200: 5000
Citation X: 4000
737-800: 7000
737-900: 7000
737-700BBJ: 7250
A320: 7500
757-200: 7750
C-17: 7000
787-9: 6000
767-300: 7800
A330-300: 8000
A330-200F: 8000
A340-600: 10000
(all fighters 10000)
777-200: 10500
777-200F: 10500
777-300: 11000
747-VC25: 11000
747-SOFIA: 11000
747-SCA: 11250
747-400: 12000
747-8: 13500
A380-800: 15000-20000

these numbers may be too high or too low, please comment

Wouldn’t work as most of them planes are AP. Ya would feel a bit ripped off if ya spent $5 on a plane and couldn’t use it because ya didn’t have enough XP and I don’t think FDS would want people to stop buying IAP :p

good point, but then again, it only applies to FF server

And also I dont think XP really means that much - Its a whole different skillset flying ‘long haul’ in the a380 opposed to tight patterns in the super D. I could farm XP for a week in the Super D and still have no clue how to fly the a380

Hey, i only have 12000 xp with 14 hours in and can fly an a380 pretty darn well.

would still reduce the amount of nimrods slightly for those who do learn with larger aircraft

To reduce Nimrods you would be better to implement some sort of Violations / hour system say if you have more then 20 vios and hour you get put in a ‘Bad sport’ server until you get below this number.

Idk if you have been around long enough to remember him but guys like ULTER had a heap of XP yet he still buzzed any field in a 777.

My main point is really just that a having a heap of XP just doesn’t mean you are/will be a good pilot :)

If everyone was forced to fly Cessnas and the super D before trash haulers, you would probably see a lot less trash haulers. Not a bad idea other than the previously mentioned fact about many planes being in app purchases.

Exactly, the devs should find another way. One can earn more the required limit in just a day, Even without landing, (No skill). (Inter-region flight :/)

I’m saying for some it does, and for them it would reduce the amount of nimrods that can fly large planes

@Rotate @dush19 @Liam_Williams… Remember when there was a 747 landing skill node or the Shuttle Lander? They both scored competence levels. Why not a skill nodes for Aeronautical Knowledge & Flying Skill which measures competence and allows access to the servers based on scores! Max Sends

Yes, Max! I’ve suggested this before and think it is a great idea.

There could be the basics and also communication with some fake ATC.
