Requesting addition of Airport

Dear Infinite Flight Team,

I would like to request the addition of Bir Tikendrajit International Airport (IMF) in Imphal, Manipur, India, to Infinite Flight. This airport serves the northeastern region of India and would be a great addition to enhance the simulator’s variety of destinations, especially for users in that region.

Thank you for considering this request.

Hey there! Welcome to the Infinite Flight Community!

As it stands at the moment, the Infinite Flight Airport Editing Team are unable to add airports to the sim. They can only edit ones that already exist. In the future though it may be possible.

I have a question? They can only rework on the ones that exist or what?

They can rework existing airports in the sim yes. They just can’t add brand new airports.

So, all the airports that aren’t 3d yet but are in the game were never added? They were always there? Just edited?

All airports that are currently in the sim, whether 2D or 3D, can be edited.

They just can’t add any airports that aren’t in the sim but may exist in real life.

To be clear, and to add on to what Benny said, I believe that when Global came out, there were a set number of airports with given spots. Currently the IFAET has no way to add new airports into the sim, but can only edit existing ones. That is why some airports have location dots that are in awkward spots farther away from the actual airport than normal, since the layout was adjusted but the location technically can’t be moved or changed. This is a problem that will hopefully be able to be changed in the future, as new airports have been and will be built, and there is a handful of airports that wasn’t included in the global update and thus still aren’t in the sim. Hope this helps answer your question!

Edit: I’m guessing your request is for it to be made 3d? Because it’s in the sim under the ICAO of VEIM, and the name Imphal, the city it serves. If this is the case, unfortunately IFAET doesn’t take requests, but I will point you to here, where you can track the progress of India’s aiports
