Beijing Daxing International Airport (ZBAD) will be one of the largest airports in the world. It is going to be the second international airport in Beijing. It is located on the border of Beijing and Langfang [Hebei Province]. It is expected to be opened on Sep.30th, 2019 and was designed by Zaha Hadid who has just passed away. ZBAD is 67km from the old Capital International and 45 km south of Tian’anmen Square.
Daxing Int’l has 82 aviation bridges, 268 parking bays, and 700,000 square meter terminal area. This airport will provide 5 runways, four for civil use and one for military

The Daxing Airport‘s advance (Radial shape) design enable everybody to arrive at any boarding gate in less than 8min. In addition, there are subway lines and high-speed bullet train beneath the airport. It is expected to hold 45,000,000passengers per year by its opening. It is expected to hold 100 million passengers per year by 2040. This airport was built for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
After its opening, all skyteam member airlines and OneWorld Alliance Members will move to Daxing Airport. The Star Alliance and Hainan Airlines (all HNA group) will stay in Capital Airport(ZBAA).
It would be great to see this airport in IF.
Considering this specific airport won’t be completed in real life until September next year, no work can be done on it until
then. I am however confident that the Airport Editing Team will add the airport once completed and sufficient data and imagery to replicate it, is available.
