Report airport in sight button missing?

While visually approaching Runway 10 at TNCM, the ATC instructed me to “report airport in sight.” I checked twice and I’m certain there was no such button available. Normally, in this situation, an extra row appears in the approach options, but due to the urgency of the moment, I didn’t manage to take a screenshot. I’m confident the button was missing, as I checked each one carefully

That’s weird as it’s usually there. No 9.

OK, when the controller asked me to “report airport in sight,” I pressed the “Wilco” button, and then the approach control options changed to three rows instead of the usual four — which isn’t normal.

I know it’s normally there — after a go-around, when I contacted approach again, everything was fine, the buttons is there as your screenshot showed.

I just quickly checked and the “Report airport in sight” button is not there when you are connected to the Tower and it only seems to be there when you are connected to Approach only.

Summoning @BennyBoy_Alpha, is this true?

It’s possible I was on the center frequency, but I heard other pilots called “airport in sight.” Kind strange.

Center was doing radar vectors instead , as approach might just offline at the time,

I noticed this yesterday, too. But it showed up as soon as the ATC assigned me an approach.

This is true - “report airport in sight” is only available when tuned to approach control. It’s not an option with Tower.
