Replay file gets corrupted when restarting far away from any airport

I have noticed a pattern in the corrupted replay file issue on my device.

Every time I reconnect to my flight from an AP+ session, the replay file is corrupted if the starting point of the resumed flight is far away from any airport (e.g. above the ocean). This happened to me pretty consistently on flights to Tokyo from the US (e.g. on the POLIX arrival). This happened again on my flight to Cebu from Narita (I resumed the flight about 1.5 hours before arrival).

These corrupt files would have “N/A” listed on the departure “airport” column on the Replays tab.
