Repainted Douglas A-4B C-207 (Fuerza Aérea Argentina)

Spent yesteday’s afternoon to visit Buenos Aires’s Museo Nacional de Aeronáutica. The highlight of my visit was the exhibition of the repainted Douglas A-4B Skyhawk C-207.

C-207 is special, because on May 25th 1982, the aircraft participated in the sinking of HMS Coventry during Malvinas. It was flown by Jorge “Bam Bam” Barrionuevo.

After the war, C-207 was sent to Villa Reynolds, San Luís, where it kept flying until the retirement of the A-4B/Cs in the 1990s. The aircraft was then sent to the MNA as part of its permanent exhibition.
