Another landing demo:
Hi does this make the normal atc sound different? And is there a subscription or cost.
ATC sound is merely an effect for YouTube reels. The app operates under a freemium model.
Coming July 16 — SkyYoke Live Map update: ATC-style data tags, tappable traffic & airport info
Hey everyone! ![]()
▎ A big update to SkyYoke’s live Map screen lands on the App Store next week (July 16), and I’m too excited to keep it quiet — so here’s a preview of what’s coming. SkyYoke turns your iPhone into a yoke, throttle and control panel for Infinite Flight over your local Wi-Fi (via the Connect API v2 — no account linking, nothing leaves your network).
▎ Here’s what the update brings to the map:
ATC radar-style data tags
Every nearby aircraft will carry a real STARS-style data block, just like a controller’s scope: callsign on top, then altitude in hundreds of feet with a climb ↑ / descend ↓ arrow, plus ground speed in tens of knots. So 350↑ 45 means FL350, climbing, 450 kts. Tags are colour-coded to TCAS status (white / amber TA / red RA) and automatically declutter when you zoom out — again, just like the real scope.
Tap any aircraft
Tapping a contact opens a detail card showing the pilot’s display name, callsign, aircraft type, flight level and ground speed — great for figuring out who’s on final ahead of you at a busy hub.
Tap any airport
Airports within 40 NM are on the map, and tapping one shows its name, ICAO, elevation, the full runway list (both idents, length × width, paved/unpaved) and the current in-sim wind and temperature. Runway data comes from a bundled offline database, so no internet needed.
Heading-true aircraft icon
Your own aircraft icon will point exactly where your nose points — its actual flying heading — with your flown track drawn behind it as a breadcrumb trail.
Everything updates live at radar cadence (~1 Hz) straight from the sim — the map uses your aircraft’s position from Infinite Flight itself, so the app needs no location permission at all.
The app is landscape, iPhone-only, and localized in English, 繁體中文 and 简体中文.
Available July 16 — I’ll post here the moment it’s live. In the meantime, you can grab the current version on the App Store ( Remote Yoke - SkyYoke App - App Store ) to be ready.
Would love to hear what you think — especially from anyone who flies at busy hub events, since that’s where the data tags really shine. Anything you’d want tweaked before release? There’s still time to squeeze in feedback. ![]()
Can we have some bug fixed in this version?
Or it just send us the update without any bug fixed ![]()
We fix bugs in every new version.
That’s great
I’m looking forward to the new version
I am going to create a Discord server to post information and for users to report bugs and get rewards in the near future
.
It won’t connect to my iPad and that are on the same network and IF connect is on
(I don’t have discord btw so that is why I am writing here)
Did you release a hotfix so that AP doesn’t disconnect randomly in the app or is that coming in the release on the 16th? Would love to be able to use it but I’m unable to at this time.
Would you mind sending me a screen recording of the issue? I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem you mentioned, so a recording would really help me look into it. Thank you so much!
Could you first try manually entering the IP address of the device running Infinite Flight? To find it, go to Settings → WiFi → More, and you should be able to locate the IP address there.
If the problem still persists, please DM me with the following information and I’ll be happy to look into it for you:
- Phone model
- The “About phone” page in your phone’s Settings
- Tablet model
- The “About tablet” page in your tablet’s Settings
- WiFi router model
- Whether you’re connected to any VPN
Thank you!
Any additional security settings enabled on the WiFi router could affect the connection quality.
I do have one question. would it be possible to add support for connecting over a personal hotspot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, or another peer-to-peer method in a future update?
The personal hotspot feature is currently supported. Users must manually enter the correct IP address. In the next update, a fix will be implemented so that users no longer need to enter the IP address manually.
Where should I send them at?
I sent you an DM
looks like some loopit design, are you sure this is if? thats zero driving not infinite flight
SkyYoke’s Custom Autopilot Panel — Boeing Style Mode Arming
Hey everyone! ![]()
I wanted to share a deeper look at one part of SkyYoke (the iPhone app that turns your phone into a yoke, throttle, and control panel for Infinite Flight) that I’ve spent a lot of time on: the custom autopilot panel. It talks to the sim over the Connect API, but the way you interact with it is designed to feel like a real airliner’s MCP/FCU rather than a row of on/off switches.
Boeing style mode arming
This is the feature I’m most proud of. On the real Boeing 777 MCP, pressing a mode button before the autopilot master is engaged doesn’t activate it — it arms it, and the FMA annunciates it in white until the AP comes on.
SkyYoke works the same way:
- With the AP master OFF, pressing ALT / VS / SPD / HDG / LNAV / VNAV / APPR only arms the mode. Armed modes show in white — toggle cells read “ARMED”, value cells get a white dot and border, just like the FMA’s armed color.
- When you press AP, the entire armed set engages at once and turns green.
- With the master already ON, modes engage/toggle immediately, like you’d expect.
- Targets can be dialed either way — only the mode engagement waits for the master.
So you can fully set up your automation on the ground or during a hand-flown departure — dial your altitude, speed, heading, arm LNAV/VNAV — and bring it all alive with a single AP press. No more toggling six switches while trying to keep the wings level.
