Remembering What started it all

Today, the 11th of October, 2025, I have decided to officially retire my Canon Rebel XTi (400D). She served me well, starting my spotting passion over 2 years ago. I’ve decided to stroll down memory lane for this

The earliest Shot I’ve been able to find. Almost 3 years ago now, of a Blackhawk going down the river near my house

This was taken in December of last year, while I was Spotting for my first time officially at Flying W Airfield In central Jersey

What I think to be one of the clearest shots while using this piece of kit, when I got free VIP tickets to PITP 2025, and I met Thunderbird #5s family, and he actually grew up in the town next to mine

Personal Favorite here. I had to sprint like 100
Yards to get this shot

I’ve seen Panchito twice now and this is still my favorite shot

The classic. My dad has this as my Icon when he calls me

Just to show how much my spotting has changed, the PC-12 is With my Nikon from last week. And I edited the first shot like 15 minutes ago

All of my gear lined up.

Thank you, old girl, your countless hours of photography will not be forgotten

Canon EOS Kiss X4, (Rebel T2i in USA). I changed gear last year to get a mirrorless but I still was able to catch a bunch of planes with it

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70, bridge camera. Wasn’t great but it did the job and I used it for like two months before I got my 7500
