Definitly agree. Pilots go where the most available atc stations are because they want the closest experience you can get compared to real life aviation

It would be much easier to wean the ATC Playground off its dependence on Southern California by conducting a “Full ATC” event where all major airports in a certain region are fully staffed. Pilots will and do look at the “ATC Online” indicator to make their decision in which region they will fly.

Example:
Chicago Full ATC
KBMI
KMDW
KMKE
KORD
KPIA
KRFD

All airports have at least one tower, ground, and approach/departure frequency active.

FNF stands for “Friday Night Flight” During these events pilots all around the IF community come together and fly certain plane(s) in a certain region based on the theme. It’s a whole lot of fun. Check out the Events page for more info.
