Regarding new update released 31/01/2026 (autopilot and plane handling issues)

Version Information

26.1

Device Information

ipad (dont remember the generation but I guess it doesnt matter)

Description

after the recent update, the autopilot just feels a bit wonky. earlier when LNAV was on the heading number used to automatically update and now it doesnt, its behaving weirdly. also the plane (in my case the 77F) is making 30 + degrees of bank to intercept flight plan at fl350 which feels odd (didndt happen before). i was doing this LOC approach and the plane was very very wonky going all around the place and just banking so much to intercept the final approach course that it almost caused me to stall (i was at 190 kts flaps 5, didnt happen before)
if anyone of you face the same thing please do add in the comments so that devs can get a bit more idea (i know my explanation was awful but I hope it gets the idea across)

Regarding the heading, others have reported it:

And the bank angle: I did notice earlier when engaging autopilot to get cruise that the bank angle for turns did seem a greater than usual, see below for comparison (did a test on the same flight plan on the full release):

I doubt it’s a bug - people have been complaining about the LNAV turn logic for ages, it’s about time it was improved.

Have encountered both the Thing, and the Bank Angle isnt a big deal to me as it can take tighter turn now, but the HDG thing is kinda a problem bcz when ever im switching from LNAV to APPR the Aircraft just turns to a Diff Heading.

I guess the solution to this is before turning off LNAV, turn on and off HDG which will latch it onto your aircraft’s current heading, ergo preventing a turn when disengaging LNAV.

For me the autopilot is behaving crazy with the throttle during cruise
