NOTAM:

  1. Tanker trail from RAF Akrotiri in support of NATO fast jets and transports returning to U.K. staging Incirlik (LTAG) Turkey then onto Ramstein AFB (ETAR) Germany before final leg back into RAF Mildenhall (EGUN) UK
  2. Tanker intends a non stop flight unless fuel reserves become low in which case will land ETAR before heading to EGUN.
  3. Usual join 1 mile 100ft below speed at pilots discretion
  4. Once fuelled join on wing or wing waggle and drop 100 ft below 1 mile behind to depart tanker.
  5. Aircraft are welcome to join or depart anywhere along route.
  6. As usual no refuel on turns, initial depart and climb or descent into airfield.
    See you in the air or at Akrotiri prior to departure time.

  5. Rejoin on starboard wind after refuel prior to dropping 100ft below 1 mile astern to indicate departure from AAR tanker.
  6. Fast jets and C130 aircraft are welcome to continue with aircraft into Akrotiri.

  1. This tanker tasking is to provide transit and combat support to fast jets and transports operating out of Cyprus the Gulf states and Afghanistan theatre of operations.
  2. No refuel on initial departure, turns and transit to BOSIS.
  3. Aircraft can depart from Akrotiri along with the AAR aircraft or join from airfields en route.
  4. Join aircraft astern 3 miles 500ft below tanker altitude and join on port wing.
  5. To indicate refuel drop astern 1 mile in trail formation and boom will be extended.
  6. If other aircraft are on the boom be patient we are all learning.
  7. Rejoin on starboard wing after refuel to continue flight with AAR aircraft or drop back 3 miles 500ft below to indicate departure.
  8. No refuel once we pass OIFM - Esfahan Shahid Beheshti International.
  9. AAR aircraft commander requests fighter escort into OAKN from OIFM until landing at OAKN due to risk from SAM and AAA to unarmed AAR aircraft.
