Normally yellow planes are players flying near to you.
And red planes are players flying very near to you.
Itās a way to tell you that the plane behind/front left/right of you can make a collision with you.
(Sorry for the bad english, someone will sure explain better than me!)

Itās warning you. Real life separation is a minimum of 3 miles horizontally, and 1000ft vertically.
If the aircraft is red, itās within those minimums.
If itās orange, itās very close to those minimums.
In some circumstances itās ok, ie, general aviation flying visual circuits, or parallel runway operations where the aircraft is on final (however simultaneous parallel runway operations should only be happening on runways that are at least 1000m apart)
Good question. Iād assume in IF its just 1000ft no matter what your altitude is, as RVSM makes most commercial airspace above FL290 1000ft now anyway? IF couldnāt determine if itās RVSM airspace and if your in a properly equipped aircraft
