just wondering if anyone around has got a standard 8th Gen iPad like I got or just anything of a similar model/age (any standard previous gen ipad will do at this point) and what settings they would recommend for just optimising an older and a bit slower iPad like mine? for the 3.5+ years I’ve owned my ipad i’ve been fine just running all high graphics, no anti aliasing and 30 fps just fine with only seeing a few crashes throughout its tenure, but recent months have proved its found it rather hard to stay operating at 30 stable fps from I suppose just higher stress on loading more complex/performance demanding 3D airports and just new aircraft in general, so definitely more of a problem while on the ground.
So yeah if anyone has an iPad either the same or similar to mine, feel free to chuck thru your settings and stuff so I could possibly get a better idea of what to decrease/keep the same and whatever else involved, because obviously my ipad isn’t keen on really running high graphics anymore 🥱
Do you restart your device before your flights? This, along with clearing all other app tabs usually help me. I don’t have an old iPad, just an overused one lol.
Usually set it up like this:
Rendering Quality…Low
3D Object Density …High
Rendering Resolution…High
Textire Quality…Medium
Anti-Aliasing…On
Frame rate limit …60fps
Also, remember to clean up the memory and playback files periodically.
(Setting—General—Clear Cache)
Oh yeah, I do what I can in my right to make the overall thing run faster but of course as all things do, age catches up and it becomes less so an issue and more so something that I know I gotta adapt to more so lol, so I was just wondering what everyone else would recommend as for settings wise on the game itself
How long ago? just rather surprised that anti-aliasing and 60fps would work so well on a device like that now as I never really made use of either hahah
Oh wow, never really crossed upon that before. Have you found that you can occasionally experience frame drops with the settings you have now, or does it still seem to run somewhat stable?
