I would like to see realistic water when you fly by such as x-plane. I understand iPhone users will not have enough memory to do this. Maybe make a version for the PC?
What’s the point making a PC version? I have wondered about making a tablet vs phone version though - the iPad / tablet users would likely be able to have more features, although it would probably double the work they’re already doing!
A VERY realistic water rendering was introduced a few months ago. Maybe it’s just off for you? Go to Settings > Graphics. Then turn on water rendering.

Having a little bit of wind also improve the realism since it makes wave move a bit and animate the specular reflexion.
full 3d water is doable (we had some prototype a long time ago) but there was some limitations with the way we draw the terrain. Definitely something we can consider for high end device.

Ya that would look good
maybe android, since samsung phones are really powerful, but not a lot of people have it
I think the water looks great now and the devs should be focused on other stuff

Maybe planes should be able to float and not sit ontop of it like solid terrain?

Some apple devices (aka the iPad Pros/Airs) should be able to run water.
EDIT: Juts realized that that post was a year ago, so I don’t think that Pro existed.
But that is RENDERING, not actual water. It looks nice, but it’s not functional.
