tips:Laura have 192 violation,so do not worry about it
This may not be as much of an issue when flying, say, the 737, but with aircraft such as the A380 and 747-8 it’s best to follow a realistic taxi route as their wingspan may mean that many taxiways cannot accommodate them at certain airports.
If you’re looking for a realistic callsign, go on FR24, open the playback, and the smaller, grey text to the right of the IATA flight number is the callsign (QTR18U in this instance.) It is often identical to that of the flight number, but there are also numerous instances where it isn’t.
That’s exactly what I like to do, also adding to the likes of using the “proper” taxiways, takeoff, and landing runways, the same real-life route, the same flight levels, etc, the exact number of pax (I have a site for that yes lol), the same callsign and many more small details lol. I define this as "realism, " and others may not! Which is fine lol, everyone is free to fly the way it wants and determine their own realism!
I agree its hard to find people who wants realism
For me. If you want true realism you need to up your tech.
Infinite Flight is great, but you’ll never get past that to access this Sim… you need a mid-range phone and then a tenner a month. It is too easy (its a negative in this context, but overall its a mega positive and it is what had made this community so wide).
Invest in a decent computer, MSFS or X-plane… then get a VATSIM account. Until you’ve done all that you wont find true realism.
To put it this way, you can actually try to obtain a general aviation pilot’s license. The C172 cockpit in IF is very sophisticated and is a good choice for familiarizing oneself with the real world🤣👍
Hello,
Despite being a Grade 4 pilot in Infinite Flight (IF), I still prefer flying mostly on the casual server. The main reason is the peace—there’s no one to disturb you, complain, or get annoyed if you don’t strictly follow real-world procedures. You get everything except violations and ATC services on casual, and it’s also easier on my device, with fewer pilots leading to less strain and memory consumption. While there are occasional disruptions at popular airports due to mischievous pilots, this doesn’t happen often.
For group flights and enjoying ATC service, the expert server is the obvious choice. Here, pilots are more disciplined due to enforced rules, making it a better experience overall.
For realism in flying, the best approach is to refer to the community tutorials section, where members post a wealth of information, from performance profiles of different aircraft to airport details like parking spots and correct usage of the STARs and SIDs. Additionally, searching on Google and watching YouTube videos can offer a wide range of resources, further enhancing your flying experience beyond the Infinite Flight Community (IFC).
