Okay, I just graduated from Casual to the TS, and I’m mentally preparing myself for ES. I know it might take 2 more months. But reading more about what people like in the ES… I’m being sold more and more into:
Using the right callsign
Using the right livery
Spawning at the right gate/terminal
Going into the right gate/terminal
I think using the ‘proper’ taxiways if that’s a thing IRL is too much for me at this point, but…
How?
How do I know what call sign to use?
I think it matches the livery. And that’s my airline?
How do I know my right gate/terminal?
And how do I know the right gate/terminal to go to after landing?
For FPL I think using Simbrief is real enough for me.
Also, I think I’ll still spawn at weird places and fly imaginary routes for fun, but I know I can use Generic Livery to lessen the annoyance.
Don’t worry about him, there are no such restrictions
Of course, if you want to be more authentic yourself, you can search for relevant information on third-party software and asking locals is also a good way!
Yeah, there are no such restrictions. There are just people who want them like that, and I can see myself wanting them too, sometimes. And sometimes I just want to fly for fun (while following ATC, etc. that’s a fun part too.)
I’ve read it from cover to cover except for the dev stuff and the editor stuff lol.
It’s not that I know them all now but at least I have a rough idea about everything, and it’s just a matter of finding stuff that I’d like to review when I have to.
When you encounter a violation, you can first check your own replay to see if there are any issues? If you think it’s okay, you can refer to the following content to contact the controller
Violation is really nothing. For example, for me, I have 3 second level violations, 3 third level violations, and 68 first level violations🤣
You can use flightaware and FR24 to find specifics of the flight as well as routes to ensure any changes youd like to make. If theres no info on it, try your best and park at correct terminals. With your own routes, thats all fine! Not many get annoyed.
FR24 and flightaware give you callsigns for the route, livery used, gate, arrival gate, and fpl. Use it however you’d like. Have fun.
Man, I just got my 2 (in a row) Level 1 Violations. (I thought I wouldn’t get them without ATC LOL)
I knew I was descending too fast, the FPL from Simbrief was super steep. PLUS I crashed as I executed a VOR/DME approach and I was literally winging it LOL. I might have been able to land but since my first landing today was too fast, this one was too slow and I was stalling. It can be really annoying.
I’m frustrated I don’t have a decent flight today. I’ll just try again tomorrow. It’s annoying on the profile but yeah, can’t keep them at 0 forever I guess.
I find there are a lot of people on the community who make a big deal about exactly the points you’ve made. None of them matter in the slightest on ES…
All anyone ACTUALLY cares about is… fly in a professional manner… don’t cut people off, follow taxiways, use appropriate speeds etc.
You’ve paid for the sim, so if you want to spawn in an Air India A320 at Manchester on a Cargo ramp… you fill your boots 😅. If anyone wants to whinge at you… its a repositioning flight haha!!
