I really like this change to RWA. Now the forum will be more interesting with more variety of topics. Great Work Misha and the staff/moderation team!

Not sure if you know what reviewal means in Discourse. I’ll explain it so all of you can understand what it means for both a moderator, and you.
Basically in category settings, there are multiple options on the restrictions and compatibility with the users, anything from templates to what and where can be posted. What’s happened with Real World Aviation is that like when a post is flagged, it will show up as a red dot with a number at the top right middle icon, on how many things need to be reviewed for a moderator.
It will show the topic for the moderator, where they may click on it and preview the entire topic before it is posted publicly to the community, and before it can be seen by us. This will mean that there will be a slight delay in posting your topics, but you can rest assured that every new RWA topic you now enter, will be a great new feed of information to the IFC, and will contain direct news without any random data with no source.
It’s kind of like going back to you first days on the IFC, where your posts have to be reviewed before posting, but instead it is every RWA topic.

I know how it works, I’m just saying it could be a good bit of extra work for the mods, that’s all.

Yeah, I don’t it should be too overwhelming since not that many are published each day, and our moderators have an outstanding activity. It was mainly just for the general community to understand what it’s now like for them if they didn’t understand what being reviewed by a moderator means, whether that’s once they’ve posted,or them worrying why all their hard work on their post isn’t being shown. 😂

2 Swiss bars and 5 coffees is the daily minimum 😂 but there is a plot twist. With these changes maybe 1 Swiss bar and 1 less coffee 🤔

It most likely will actually free up time for us. If we can nip issue at the source by reviewing topics, it saves us time having to deal with closing topics/flags/moderating discussion etc. There is method to the madness!
