Real time or your time

I always do real time, unless when the moon isn’t out because in my opinion, it doesn’t look that great. Flying daytime over the alps though is absolutely beautiful!

And this :)

I use real time but if it is at night and I am taxing and doing pushback I will turn it to day but hopefully they will add working taxi lights and landing lights soon do I can use real time all the time

Always real time “if” I can see the taxiway. Can’t have being ghosted because I taxied on grass or a terminal building LoL

I always to real time and once it turns night I’ll sometimes switch it to day to get and idea of where I’m taxiing or just have my iPad brightness set to high.

Usually real time. Unless it’s night, then I can’t see a thing…

I usually use day most of the time or else it’s hard to see other stuff and control the plane properly.

It’s a mix between both really. From transatlantic west to east crossings, I mostly use night time to arrive early morning (usually on 6-7 hour flights). But I keep it real using the realistic time.

In my opinion the expert server should only have actual time (once a terrain map and taxi lights come out.)

I agree with @anon31652286 here.

I use real time month but not time, I don’t see the point unless it’s the time of day you want to fly at. I rarely actually fly at night because the lighting effects are so limited.

Always on real time. And i end up flying during the night mostly

I fly with it set to noon because I like the scenery and I am blind as a bat when it’s set to night time. I did fly from KSFO-KLAX yesterday in the dark and landed. Very proud of myself.

I usually fly real time but I usually time my flight so when I get to the destination it’s day time, that way it’s easier to land.

Sometimes when i taxi at night i need to put my time to noon cause planes doesn have taxi lights in IF😡 but landing in night time is almost easy but working landing lights would make it easyer

I always change the date and time. Sometimes I’ll fly in a winter scenario, and sometimes I’ll decide to fly in a summer scenario. I mainly try to set the takeoff time close to the real world takeoff time on a real world route. If it’s a 0-5 hour fake flight I will always takeoff and land during the day. Any longer and it may vary.

MaxSez: Interesting observations and choices. Bottom line: All things considered; IF Night Rendering “SUCK’s”. Next…

correct, but when a consumer is booking a flight, or any of us look at a flight schedule, the departure time IS pushback time @Kate_Russell

Always my time. Night all the time. Less strain on the device. Day for taxiing and short final

Use current time, except for taxi and landing where I use day.
