Real life weather in IF

I always wanted to know if IF has accurate weather to real life few times when I see weather somewhere I can see where it is on IF but that’s possible can real life ATIS work for in game weather to get runway notems etc?

We have real world winds and METARs (where available), yes.

Most echo airports have a auto weather report frequency so when you hear it the airport then it will say automated weather observation the time etc could something like that could be in game

ATIS without ATC

I think it would help pilots who are departing or arriving at a airport that not currently active by ATC to have the ATIS coms set to all airports. I know that there’s a weather report when you open the flight planner but it would help if the Atis was active regardless if ATC is currently active at the airport. It would give IF more realism because of the automated weather system at non controlled airports like at Class Echo airports and same concept for airports that are usually active like E…

Currently in IF we have ATIS, but it is unable to use for good reason. Back when it was used, a controller would manually enter the information (kinda defeats the automatic terminal information system bit…), and would have to re-write it all in for corrections. Wasn’t a great system.
