#tutorials is a wonderful place.
The Departure Control Frequency is one of the most important frequencies to ensure aircraft are separated immediately after departure. With multiple aircraft flying runway heading right off departure end, it’s your job to deconflict each aircraft and get them where they need to go!
In this tutorial I’ll show you how to develop a plan for multiple departures as you assign their initial heading and altitude before handing off to center to begin the enroute phase of their journey.

The Visual Approach is an instrument approach which allows an aircraft to proceed visually to an airport as long as they have the airport in sight. Many of your favorite airports have visual approach plates available. In this tutorial episode I’ll show you how to provide a visual approach into Bob Hope Airport!
All controllers are encouraged to be familiar with the Visual Approaches available at the airport they’re servicing. If they’re not familiar with the approaches available or traffic d…
The GPS Approach can be treated just like an ILS Approach on Infinite Flight, as it provides glideslope and localizer information to the pilot. Join me as I teach you how to master another approach control service!
Keep in mind that a GPS Approach does not take terrain into account and is represented by the white cone on your map. Leave your comments and questions below.

Aircraft requesting Flight Following wish to follow their chosen flight plan with a route fix to fix or direct to their destination using their desired altitude. As an Approach Controller, you should approve flight following to the max extent possible, however, it will be necessary to issue instructions, voiding an aircraft’s flight plan, when an aircraft is entering a busy airspace requiring sequencing or when conflicting with other aircraft.
In this episode I’ll show you exactly how to handle…
While working approach control on Infinite Flight you will have general aviation aircraft requesting to fly VFR. Understanding basic VFR rules, the commands necessary to approve it, and your responsibility as an approach controller will allow you to handle VFR flight requests with ease!
Note: It may be necessary to issue vectors to an aircraft flying VFR if they’re directly interfering with aircraft receiving radar services for an ILS, GPS, or just Radar Vectors to an airport.

Approach Control is one of the most technical ATC positions on Infinite Flight! High work loads, obstacles, and demanded precision make Approach a rewarding, yet intimidating skill to conquer.
Today we’re going to talk 3 basic approach control features that you can store away in your tool belt to help you effectively manage the Approach Control Position. Let’s look at radar customization, data tags, and the drag and vector feature!

The Approach Controller can provide many services to aircraft to accommodate different types of aircraft, traffic volumes, and weather conditions.
In Episode 2 of our Approach Control Tutorials, we’ll check out the GPS Approach, ILS Approach, Flight Following, VFR, and Radar Vectors. Be sure you subscribe to The Official Infinite Flight Advanced ATC YouTube Channel.
The ILS approach is a precision approach allowing aircraft to utilize their instruments in low visibility situations, taking them right down to the touchdown point every time. The ILS approach requires precise instructions from the Approach Controller to ensure the aircraft can intercept the ILS!
In Episode 3 we’ll talk about the Radar Pattern and the Intercept for an ILS approach. It’s important to note that an ILS approach clearance must be given with no more than a 30 degree intercept. Enjoy…
