Rare Visitor at KLIT

Hello IFC, Today I got word that a Kalitta 747 had landed at my home airport to pick up cargo! Of course being a small regional airport we never get big airplanes so this was a rare treat. I met with about a half a dozen other aviation photographers to capture this moment! The aircraft say on runway 22L and than taxied to runway 4R for departure! Enjoy the pictures!

Mmmm very practical to send a 747 to a REGIONAL airport.

Still cool nonetheless.

Well KRIL has got the C-17 Globemaster lll before and KGJT gets Air Force 1 occasionally so I know the feeling. Its always nice when the Rgnls get some respect
