Random newbie feature questions

Wondering if there are emergency options, other than go around. Min fuel options engine failure ETC. Also, I’ve never had a “bad weather” scenario, are there strong tailwinds/gusts in this game? If not is there talks about adding them?

Wondering if there are emergency options, other than go around. Min fuel options engine failure ETC.

We do have emergency fuel declarations in the sim. You have to be flying for at least 1 hour and have less than 30 minutes remaining.

If you meet both those requirements, an “Emergency Requests” option should appear in the ATC menu, which if you click on it, there’s an option to declare low fuel.

So, how this would work is a random generator would produce a value, and ceartain values would do emergencies such as medical emergency, technical failure etc. and there would be a command such as “New York Departure, Cactus 1549 declaring an emergency, diverting to the Hudson River.” A way to make sure no emergencies during a long flight, there cannot be an emergency while VNAV/LNAV is on

The weather on the multiplayer servers is live IRL weather, so for example if there’s a storm affecting a region IRL, it will be shown in the sim with the strong winds, and yes you can experience gusting winds in the sim (which are always great fun ).
