Experienced a random in flight loss of control on my flight this morning. Can anybody explain this? This is the first time I’ve had something like this happen in 8 years of flying.
Issue occurs at 11:03:49, or 16:15:19Z.
IF 25.1.5. Not open beta.
Your climb to 41k feet is the issue due to the plane’s weight and low speed your plane’s A/P started to struggle entering into a stall and therefore crashed in addition to this yes it was stable but started to freak out in a turn
This happened 11 hours into the flight and a couple hours after I climbed to 41,000. And the plane was flying in a straight line. Please watch the replay again.
You had a giant turn in your flight
I have almost 8,000 hours on this game. I would have known if that turn was going to be a problem (it wasn’t). The turn south over Beijing was 200 miles past where the plane lost control. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, then please stop commenting
I’m going to check something and clarify
There maybe a bug I think idk
Just hear me out on this… before the turn your GS was 604 knots the turn wipped out a little over 100 knots bringing your GS down to 496 knots but your IAS and Mach speeds relatively stay the same… to add in further there’s no wind because that too can affect GS which isn’t the case here
That’s a replay bug, then. I flew this on the expert server with live weather.
Ok Looked at it its a Replay bug
Ugh how much head wind did you get? After the turn
Weather playback shows it turns from a 120 knot direct tailwind into a direct crosswind. No issue. Nothing the autopilot hasn’t done flawlessly for me 100 times before.
And looking at the replay file it seams to me you were at 41k for a while doing turns so we can possibly rule that out
Because normally what happens is people just love loading their jets up full and then wonder why they fall like a brick from their altitude
I don’t have time to download and watch the replay, however quick hypothesis, because your airspeed dropped when you were turning (which is a given, even if it’s down to a couple kts), that long extended turn mixed with the drop in air speed will cause the nose to pitch up. In infinite flight, the A350 handles that poorly and will start to oscillate if you begin to rock horizontally/vertically even slightly.
Then the oscillations grow, because with each oscillation, you’re losing air speed and then stall… just a hypothesis, I could be wrong
No oscillations prior to the last 30 seconds when it does randomly fall out of the sky. The game has made this sector for me perfectly fine many many times before under the same parameters.
So it was smooth, no pitch or anything and just crashed?
