Awesome pics, that’s my hometown! Lindberg or Humphrey? Or is that the cell phone lot off of cedar?

It’s the official plane spotting area on Cargo Road

You just have to love the power of the engines on the 777, I got some amazing shots of it in the rain.

@JacobVanZanten Great job with the photos and love the B772 recording on takeoff. The engines look stunning in the rain.

“Stunning HD quality”

Pretty good, considering the fact that I almost fell off the bench again

Wait, you almost fell off the bench?

Ah, the occasional slip & slide huh?

Yep. I think when the guys in the control tower are on their break they watch people fall off the bench with binoculars…but that’s just legend.

Not accusing you, but you realize Tenerife Disaster was Van Zanten’s fault? Well, mostly his. Others include weather, fog, and the KLM crew for not stopping Van Zanten’s takeoff roll while Pan American was still on the runway

Yes, I do realize that. The reason why I chose him as my username is the fact that he was considered one of the most senior pilots at KLM.

21 minute bump ftw

Understandable, he was the chief pilot

Great photos overall! I really like the american a320 lol. One suggestion is that you should get a better lenses for better closeups. Also might want to get a windscreen or something because it could help blocking out the wind sound:)
