Radar Lines for Tower Controllers?

So this may be a stretch, but I feel like I remember seeing a radar time lapse where the trail of the plane was recorded with a white line (like the series of dots that trail a plane on tower, but permanent). I was wondering if these “radar lines” were available to tower controllers when either live, or in replay mode.

I apologize for not having a visual reference, I briefly looked for one, but came up empty handed. Also, if this is a duplicate, please direct me to the original topic.

Hey! To display aircraft flight paths, please see the following steps:

  1. Open an ATC replay.
  2. Tap on an aircraft.
  3. Hit “filter callsign.”
  4. Repeat the aforementioned steps for as many aircraft as you desire.
