What is the aircraft used in the USAF for passanger transfers? Thanks!
The USAF, to my knowledge, Uses Omni Air, to fly large groups of personnel.
I think they also use C-17s.
Well that helped. Thank you!
Don’t quote me on that though, last time I saw Omni Air was 2016.
While I’m not 100% sure about this, I’m pretty sure they have a variety of transport/airlift aircraft that can transport both cargo and personnel. Think of aircraft like the C-5, C-17, C-130, and more. There are, of course, VIP transports as well like smaller private jets and larger jets like the jets used to transport members of the executive branch (VC-25, c32…)
Thank you!
I’ve seen some Omni Air, Sun Country and Allegiant military charters
Atlas air does military charters. So does Cargolux i believe
Atlas Omni and National are the main 3 in the US I believe (along with the USAF’s own planes).
They use their own C-5, C-17s, C-130s, but they have passenger air craft like the C-40, VC-32, VC-25, etc. They also charter other airlines like sun country, global x, atlas air, and Omni air international.
Atlas, Omini and National, Tankers, C17 and C5 are the ones I last saw. I have not seen ATA and World Airways since my 2005 deployment. There is one other airline but …
Thank you all!
Mods may close. My issue has been clarified very very well.
Yes, Sun Country does multiple military charters a day.
