Question for ATC

Hello everyone. I’ve been a user for multiple years now and still find this game the best on the market. However when events are being hosted or an airport gains such traffic like Singapore today, I do feel as controllers we can do a bit to help us pilots.

Now yes I understand some airports are only limited to 1 or 2 runways such as London Gatwick (LGW) or London Heathrow (LHR) and I must say I give the greatest respect and credit to all the work they do with such limitations. And as I myself I can not be one to judge. So please don’t take this as me trying to be rude or anything.

But as today trying to depart out of Singapore Changi. I had to wait in line for around 30 mins. Now yes this does bring realism to the airport and I can’t complain with that. But with an airport design like Changi I do feel like maybe rules can be bent slightly to accommodate such events like the IF48. I just feel an example to be made is using RWY 02L for departing aircraft. RWY 02C for departing and arriving aircraft. And RWY 02R for arriving aircraft. Now yes they are technically not connected but there are airport with long taxi times to get back to their respective gates (like if your arriving on RWY 05 at RJTT Tokyo Haneda, then a taxi back to the International terminal is a good 15m+ taxi if the airport is busy.

This only comes as a suggestion to some controllers or maybe even the devs when an event is being hosted just to bring a bit more fluidity to events. I’m not sure if I can speak on behalf on others but even for myself I have been deterred to do a flight just because of how busy an airport is.

Anyways I hope to hear from the communities opinion on this.

Thanks.

We can’t really use 02R/20L very easily since the game considers that as part of WSAC as far as ATC is concerned.

I think this is the right way to approach this. Fly from another airport. There are so many airports open during the event…

Also,

Haneda never uses Rwy 5 for arrivals
