I have a question about the ATC procedures. I’ve been playing this game for years and it’s always been the same approach I use. When in range I always call to ATC tower to alert them of my position and requesting the runway that is in procedure with ATC. So I was just in a 15hr flight that was about to land in the Philippines and ATC came one so I did what I’ve always done - when in range, I call to ATC tower to alert them of my position and requesting the runway that is in procedure with ATC.
There was no approach as it was just Ground and Tower. The ATC person kept saying that I should follow instructions and check the user guide which annoyed me a bit so I repeated my call cuz I thought it was a mistake but no he kept saying it so I don’t know if I was missing something. I’ve been on the expert server forever so I don’t know.
Sounds like and could be a network bug where even though you were tuned into the right frequency the controller wasn’t getting your requests and vice versa. If a violation was issued you can always file an appeal if you feel that it was incorrectly given or unjustified.

Well there was no ATC Approach so it’d be Tower. When in range, I use the Call Inbound generally. ATC usually acknowledges the request and gives instructions if needed or they’ll tell you to continue as filed. ATC here was just telling me to say intentions, follow instructions and check the user guide which is weird cuz if I did do something wrong ATC usually corrects u with instructions. They were just shutting me out here.
Could been a connection issue as stated above but it’s best contact the controller for a better explanation of why that happened as without full context we can’t tell you exactly what happened and why.
this was on the expert server correct? If so as Walter said hard to say exactly but sounds like a connection bug and glad you at least didn’t receive a violation!
