Its official name is “Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport”.

The airport never had Port Louis in the name lol

It’s also nowhere near Port Louis, it’s located in Plaine Magnien, around 30 miles away or so.

But when I saw that in the years it was Port Louis

@nabilk11_777flyer where are you getting this information from?

In 2022 it was called Port Louis Sir Seewoosagur but this 2025 it’s now Called Mauritius sir Seewoosagur when it’s actually a country

That’s because the airport serves the main island of Mauritius, so might as well call it Mauritius Airport. The only time the airport had another name was Plaisance Airport, but that was before 1987.

Port Louis I Remember was Called that I saw it on Flight Radar 24 in 2024

No, the shortened version of it was Port Louis, for easier reading. But the airport itself didn’t actually have Port Louis in it

So it was a Name itself

But now they’ve just changed it to Mauritius as the shortened version since it’s the only airport on the island

Hm ok thanks for the Answers
