Question about Flight Résume

Hello,
Since my schedule is pretty hectic right now but I still want to do long haul flights, do you guys think it is possible to do a 15 hour flight doing 2-3 hour flight segments using Flight resume ? If you don’t understand, what I mean is I would like to fly for 2-3 hours, quit the flight, continue the next day for 2-3 hours, etc, until I end up landing. Is that possible or flight resume is not meant for that ?

Yeah, as long as you follow the requirements it’ll work

It won’t crash or anything right ?

Have any of you done that already ?

I haven’t paused that many times but I’ve done IF resume before, I don’t see any reason that it wouldn’t work if your following the requirements

I’ve done this. Not 5-6 segments but I split my world record MD-11 flight into 3 and it worked as expected.

How long was your flight ?

I am planning to fly Paris-Manila ( 13hrs) on an A350

I’ve done it on multiple occasions, flights as short as 2 hours, and as long as 23 hour flights.

You can use flight resume during long haul flights as many times as you need. I suggest simply keeping an eye on your VNAV TOD so you are able to fit the TOD into your schedule without any problems as you can’t pause your flight during descent.

I’ve been running into an annoying bug after the recent hotfix that basically inverts my flight controls, causing me to lose total control of all of my flight controls after deactivating autopilot, ultimately causing me to crash. This has happened to me twice so far, albeit only on long duration flights with multiple stops where I don’t end my flight for around 24+hrs. Let me know if this happens to anyone else, please

32 hours I think split into something like 16/14/2

Ok I am planning 15 hours into 2/8/3/2
