I’m looking to get into spotting, but All I have is a 2008 cannon with no space on its card, and the card is extremely outdated and I can’t free up the storage, or get the photos off it and onto my computer. Any tips on what the best cameras are for spotting that a person with a dollar to his name(not really, just not a lot) could save up for? Also I would prob spot KTTN/KPHL. And also, my phone camera is Scheiße, so that rules that out.
Also don’t buy big expensive point and shoots, you get so little flexibility and more often than not they have tiny sensors that don’t create high quality images.
I agree with @ThatOneFloridaAvGeek save 500 bucks and then look into stuff. You can do what he suggested or upgrade to a T6i for like a hundred more.
Thanks man, hey off topic, but if you want a good sporting event, LGA has a Kids day where they have a punch if birds in display, but I went and caught a 727 taking off.
200 is very tight, i’d say save a little more (around 500) and then go for something like a Canon T7 or a Nikon D3400 for the body. If you go for the Canon, the 55-250 IS STM lens is really great for its price (just below 200). Idk anything about Nikon lenses tho lol. But a general rule for spotting is that you want a telephoto lens, something more than 200mm preferrably. Luckily memory cards are super cheap now and you can get a very basic one for less than 20 dollars!
